Welcome to the Baby's Plate
Page, below you will find details of the Plates we have on offer.
BP#1. Souvenir
Baby's Plate Coronation 1911. Coronation
of King George V. and Queen Mary. Just under 8 inches in Diameter (at the base) and
1 3/4 inches tall. Baby's Plate. 1911 Souvenir of the Coronation of King George V and
Queen Mary. Unmarked on the base. Crudely made with lots of underglaze lines on the base,
has lots of detail and colours. In excellent condition for it's age, has just one line of
fine natural glaze crazing on the edge of the rim, with wear to the overglaze gold bands
and the usual usage wear and tiny scratches on the inside and the top of the rim, also has
some wear to the base on the glaze. Despite our usual critical description of every fine
detail this is a very attractive commemorative piece. $85.
SEE PHOTOS. SOLD.
BP#2. Empire Ware Pictorial Baby's Plate. 5 3/8 inches in diameter and 2 inches tall, has an
overglaze transfer which depicts a Girl sitting with an Umbrella, a Boy standing in a Sun
Shine Theme. Slightly crude with a tiny blow hole on the side. In excellent
condition, with no chips or cracks, just has some wear mainly to the Boys head,
Girls Shoulder and a touch on Baby's Plate and Blue rim band and the usual fine light
usage scratches on the inside. Obviously a much loved and well used but also well
looked after bowl thats very clean and presentable. $49.

BP#3.
Crude and Early Baby's Plate.
"All gone Timothy." Just under 6 1/4 inches in diameter and just over
1 1/2 inches tall, Baby's plate. Rather crude with lots of fine spots of impurity under
the glaze. Hand painted with a rabbit stood amongst grass and
flowers with ALL GONE TIMOTHY above with a Blue decorative border around the top of the
bowl. In excellent condition, with no chips or cracks, has some light base wear, a few
tiny usage scratches, a small flake off the edge of the base, a small piece of glaze
missing off the inside (probably where an impurity has been pulled off) and a few fine
lines of natural glaze crazing in the thicker areas of glaze on the inner edges of the
bowl. A critical every
fine detail description of what is a crude but rather charming baby's plate. $59. SEE PHOTO'S SOLD.
